Planning something big

We've been a bit quite of late and there is a really good reason for it.

First up we have been working hard on our little experiment which is actually already starting to provide us with some positive results, which is a lot sooner then we anticipated. Again we are not about to let you know what it is however the more web savvy of you out there would have already worked it out.

What we have managed to do is launch a facebook page for Hans Jud Hairdressing http://www.facebook.com/pages/Perth-Australia/Hans-Jud-Hairdressing/147467731956872 which we are slowly starting to use for them as a marketing tool. This will coincide with a rather large photoshoot we are doing in October and an event in November.

So while it may seem that we have been quite we have actually been hard at work planning and creating content.

Spring cleaning and an experiment

Many of you noticed how content went missing from our Facebook Page a few days ago. You weren't seeing things and no it wasn't a facebook problem. We removed the content for a bit of spring cleaning which has also turned into an experiment.

I would love to go into detail about what the experiment is all about but I don't want to influence the results which will be available next months newsletter. What I can tell you is we are putting our money where our mouth is. I decided to run our service on a brand new venture. We will be sticking to the exact plan that we use for our Diamond members, except that within the first month Able Net Design will not promote the website or social media profiles, in fact this will be the last time you hear about it this month on  anything to do with Able Net Design.

I came up with the idea so that we could show you that it's not smoke and mirrors, and that with the right attitude you can turn your website along with the help of social networking into a very profitable marketing medium.

Hmmmm did I give away too much information? At least you don't have a direct link to the website and social profiles.

Myer is using behind the scenes video

Did everyone see the Myer Spring/Summer 2010 tv adverts which started airing over the weekend?

These were shot as behind the scene footage of a photoshoot. Something that we have been recommending for a few months now. The beauty of this kind of footage is that it creates personality, which is something that every online presence needs. We have always said that this kind of shoot/video works really well and it's amazing to see that a large department store like Myer would use this style of advertising to launch their Spring/Summer season.

Do you still need convincing or should we just get stuck into your own shoot?
